[REVIEW MOVIE] X-Men: Dark Phoenix
X-Men: The Dark Phoenix is the last blockbuster ending the era of 20 years for the series of "X-Men" brand Fox produced.
Before watching, Nextphim knew the film was rated very negative (21% on Rotten Tomatoes and 44 on Metascore). But the feeling when watching to the end of the film, this is a temporary movie that is acceptable, not so bad.
The Empire has a film review that is probably the most realistic: “X-Men: The Dark Phoenix is better than The Last Stand and Apocalypse. If the film puts the heroes in the center, it will have a better view. It's acceptable when this is a goodbye. ”
X-Men movie content: Phoenix Phoenix
X-Men: Dark Phoenix will show Jean Gray's terrible power and raise it to a new level when the original is quite close to The Dark Phoenix Saga. During a mission with the X-Men outside the universe, she accidentally was absorbed into the entity Phoenix Force (Phoenix). Phoenix Force is the living entity for living beings in the entire universe. From here, whenever strong emotions overwhelm his mind, Jean will transform into Dark Phoenix and bring destruction and death.

With this terrifying power, Jean Gray would have to do when even Professor X and Magneto could not fight it. And what will the X-men have to do if Jean cannot control her divine powers and turn to the dark side?
Film analysis X-Men: Phoenix Phoenix
Dark Phoenix is in fact a remake of The Last Stand Stand (2006), with a setting set in the days of the past.
Sophie Turner (Game of Thrones) returns as Jean Gray, a psychic and telepathic mutant, in a daring rescue mission in outer space, she absorbs an enormous amount of energy from outside the earth, it made her power greatly amplified and made her mentally unstable. Professor X (James McAvoy) has to build the mental walls in Jean's mind to protect her from childhood emotional trauma, and whether it is good that if these feelings come out, because it is itself associated with destruction.

Imagine a story about a vulnerable young woman who discovers her whole life has been built by a lie, who discovered a catastrophic secret about the black emotion. dark in her past and then feel betrayed by her own loved one, the manipulator she once regarded as a father of salvation and kindness.
Based on the audience's sympathy for the strong mutant character Jean Gray (Sophie Turner), this is the foundation for director Kinberg not to try to create more "tricks" to make us care. To this character, Jean has its own outstanding. The last time the audience saw her losing control of power in the movie X-Men: Apocalypse.

Kinberg wants to quickly forward the famous 'Phoenix of the Dark' story from the comic: Jean Jean Gray grows like a god. A flashed idea of super strong men, but having to deceive women for a good common goal. But at a critical moment, Jean lost control of himself and became a true ruin of destruction.

The chaos happens, Magneto (Michael Fassbender) gets dragged into the conflict to get revenge (you know, the character dies in the trailer) However, facing the reality that is happening, he has to combine with the spear. Professor X to defeat the monster that Jean has become more than his whole job. And meanwhile, the alien puppeteers are still pulling her strings, giving her ideas about Xavier's violation and the moral boundary he has crossed.
The brightest point of X-Men: The Phoenix of Darkness is the action scene near the second half, the rhythm of the film is pushed up and the performance of the mutants. Storm's ability to thunder sometimes looks a bit forced (CGI graphics) and everything is well polished, bringing drama to the movie.
The sound assigned to the witch Hans Zimmer really adds to the X-Men: The Phoenix of Darkness. The audience will be enhanced by the sense of urgency and emotional tension in the action, similar to the way we have seen the rush of The Dark Knight.
The graphics still maintain the style when it still satisfies the viewer by the beautiful visual effects.
The dialogue is extremely intense and cruel colors. Cumbersome plot, unclear character motives, funny moments create unexpected can not save the poor quality of the script. It might be a waste to have celebrities like Jessica Chastain, Michael Fassbender, Lawrence and James McAvoy.
The purpose of Dark Phoenix is to define who we are and even if we are unable to choose that. Jean Gray may have been destined to be great or destined to turn her into a monster of darkness, the definition of her personal worth is never in the control. her control, inside her is just meaningless and empty.
However, X-Men: Shadow Phoenix does not make good psychological complexity, or soul depth for the main character, so the superhero movie becomes shallow and unreasonable. If you are a long-time fan of X-Men, you should still go to see to commemorate the final movie that closes a story line spanning the past 2 decades. If not, consider carefully because you will be sleepy in the theater because of the boring conversations. I'd rather stay at home with Wife of Three HD movies than watch.
